Backshow Manual

Backshow Manual for Joomla 1.6, 1.7 and Joomla 2.5

This is a very basic and temporary manual and a more detailed will follow pretty soon.

The setup of 40° Backshow is really simple.
What you need is your images to be displayed named in a row of numbers starting with 1.
Example: 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg, 4.jpg ....
The images should have the same size for the best result and must have the same file type and ending (case sensitive).
So don't mix jpg and JPG .. keep them lower or upper case all the time.

Install your plugin as usual with the Extension Manager.
Open the Plugin in the Plugin Manager.

There's only view parameters to be set.
First one is the Speed which defines the time the fade between two images takes.
Next is the Image Folder, simply select one of your images from your image row or uplaod and select them here, so the plugin knows which images to use.
The Image Aspect defines if the aspect ratio of the image should be kept when resizing the image to fit the browser or if it should be stretched.
The Timer set's the interval between each next image call.
The Cookie Type and Lifetime defines how long the current image should be stored in the clients browser so the slideshow will resume when reloading the page.
Last but not least you can define the template to be used or if the plugin should be active with all templates.
